This experience of interviewing people who actually lived in Bosnia and Herzegovina was probably may favorite part about this project. I was fortunate enough to interview two very influential people in the field of English in Bosnia and Herzegovina. One of my favorite parts about the interview was when Kamiah Arnaut Karovic was discussing how English has become what Esperanto was envisioned to be. I had never heard of Esperanto before, but I have become very interested about it now! Another issue that was brought up during the interviews by both women, was their opinions that there were still a lot of tension between the ethnic groups in the area. During my research, it was made to seem like most tensions had dissolved but after talking to people who are actually living through it, I see it differently.
